Union of Cuban Journalists in Camagüey appreciates the potential of Cayo Cruz (+ photos)


 

Camagüey, Jul 5- Members of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) in Camagüey appreciated the work of the tourist development project in the northern part of the province, where about 1,200 rooms are currently in operation.

The deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power and director of the Company of Works for Tourism (ECOT) Cayo Cruz, Pablo Fernández Martínez, referred to the work of that entity, with 10 years of foundation and more than two thousand 200 workers who strive to build the infrastructure in that area.

The growth of facilities, attention to the workforce, the link with the University of Camagüey and support for the transformation of the popular council Brazil, located about fifty kilometers from the site, were part of the themes shared with the professionals of the word.

In that sense, Isabel González Cárdenas, representative of the Provincial Government of the People’s Power for investments in the north would fall, reflected on the importance of intersectoral work in a place with recognized potential for the entertainment industry.

Yurislenia Pardo Ortega, president of UPEC in the province, explained that the tour is part of the activities that the organization carries out for its 60th anniversary, on July 15; while several professionals received the special edition of the magazine Oh Camagüey! dedicated to the impact of Hurricane Irma in 2017, especially in the northern portion of the Agramontinian territory, as well as the dedication and effort demanded in pursuit of recovery.

Currently in Cayo Cruz an important tourist destination is promoted by taking advantage of the excellent natural conditions existing there, as a materialization of the conceptions and projections outlined by the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz for the development of that place.
