Camagüey, January 25.- The Carlos J. Finlay University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey (UCMC) awarded their degrees this Thursday to 714 new health professionals, in a graduation dedicated to the most universal of Cubans: José Martí.
During the event in the Plaza Mayor General Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, the most comprehensive students were recognized, 22 graduates obtained the status of member of the Mario Muñoz Monroy Movement, 11 graduates received the Scientific Merit Award and 186 achieved a Gold Title.
The most comprehensive graduate, Roberto Alejandro Carrazana Carballo, expressed his gratitude to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and the Revolution, and in the midst of the emotional moment he expressed that the challenges continue because Cuban doctors will always be on the front line of combat.
Tamara Chaos Correa, rector of the UCMC, confirmed that the institution is moving with firm steps towards excellence in health services and called to continue dedicated to saving lives, inspired by the thoughts of the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution.
Young Salvadoran Brayan Josué Sánchez Molina expressed emotional words when thanking Cuba for everything he had learned, because since he was a child he wanted to be a doctor and always had the support of his family and the Cuban people.
