Another good year for Encomil in Camagüey

Camagüey, Jan 29. - The Light Industry Marketing Company (ENCOMIL, for its acronym in Spanish) in this province showed very positive results in its comprehensive management at the close of 2025.

According to details provided by MaideLópezGarcía, the main executive of the institution, which covers the province of Ciego de Ávila, during the evaluated period, the planned annual income targets were exceeded by 14 percent.

Furthermore, she emphasized that profits reported growth, with a positive impact reflected in earnings, all of which led to an increase in the average salary of the workers.

Advances in so-called electronic commerce stand out in its operations, as its online site (www.tiendalotengo.com) was nationally the one with the best dividends from foreign currency sales.

According to specialist Lais Pons Hernández, they have stabilized home deliveries within a range of ten days, although on average distribution is completed within a 72-hour timeframe, reaching all municipalities in the Camagüey and Ciego de Ávila territories.

One of the reasons for the sales success, she stated, is maintaining adequate stability in high-demand assortments, such as Floresta soap, cologne, detergent, toothpaste, sanitary pads, toilet paper, and even oil and vinyl paints.

"We do not neglect," she added, "keeping our page well updated with our inventories for internet users, a matter that requires perpetual vigilance from the technicians and the rest of the team."

YiselBaryoloGarcía, responsible for commercial activity, emphasized the interest in maintaining a permanent supply, not only of so-called star products, but of the wide range generated by establishments associated with the Light Industry Group (GEMPIL, for its acronym in Spanish).

"We maintain," she noted, "permanent contact with potential wholesale purchase clients, always with the idea of exploring their needs and managing them as quickly as possible, if the orders are not available in our warehouse inventories."

She highlights the internal workflow created with the commercial, billing, warehouse, and operations areas, without overlooking the important role played by transporters in streamlining distribution processes.

At the headquarters, located in the Albaiza neighborhood, near the Ignacio Agramonte International Airport, they have a store for selling items in national currency, which can be purchased through payment gateways like Transfermóvil and En Zona, as well as with cash.

As an additional option, very much in demand lately, they hold fairs at workplaces, with prior coordination, as a way to generate new income markets. (Text and photo: Gilberto Rodríguez Rivero / Collaborator of Radio Cadena Agramonte)
