The researchers isolated from samples of lunar soil, carried to Earth by the probe 'Chang'e-5', a monocrystalline particle with a size of approximately 10 microns (one micron is one millionth of a meter) and successfully deciphered its structure. 'Chang'e Stone' is a phosphate mineral shaped like a columnar crystal. Scientists claim that this mineral is found in lunar basalt particles.

In Chinese mythology, 'Chang'e' was a beautiful young woman who took an immortality pill and then flew to the Moon, where she became the moon goddess. 'Chang'e' is also the name of the Chinese lunar mission. (Text and photos: RT in Spanish)
