Distribution of the basic supply rationing recovered in Cuba


Havana, April 23.- To date, more than 42 thousand tons of the different products that are delivered as part of the basic supply rationing have been distributed, reported Francisco Silva Herrera, general director of Merchandise Sales of the Ministry of Domestic Trade (MINCIN).

During the National Distribution Council of the MINCIN, the official explained that operations are currently being carried out in six port positions in the country, specifically for rice, added a report from the Cuban News Channel.

Regarding grain, he explained that the corresponding quota for the month of March remained pending to be distributed, which has already been completed in the eastern provinces.

In relation to the basic supply rationing for April, he pointed out that they are already at a distribution level of 67 percent, in the case of pea, rice and sugar products, and they are working to reach all territories, although it is possible that part of the salt commercialization is pending.

Idelmi González Reyes, vice president of the Food Industry Business Group (GEIA), commented that there is a guarantee to maintain the stability of the production of bread for the family basket, with the arrival of a ship of wheat that will be processed in the mills of Havana.

It was assured that chicken and children's milk are guaranteed, delivered in all territories until the 20th, and the production of soy yogurt is reactivated for minors aged seven to 13 years. (ACN) (Photo: ACN/Archive)
