Casa de las Americas exhibits a political humor collection

Havana, June 18 - Casa de las Americas, a cultural institution in Havana, invites to ArteAmerica Cafe, dedicated to the presence of political humor in the Haydee Santamaria Art of Our America Collection and a tribute to Dr. Adelaida de Juan.

The event is taking place at the Manuel Galich Hall and is attended by the storyteller and scholar of Cuban humorism, Laidi Fernandez de Juan, Casa de las America President Abel Prieto wrote on his Facebook profile.

Prieto also invited people to enjoy the opening of the exhibition “Political Humor in the Haydee Santamaria Art of Our America Collection” at the Latin American Gallery.

The Haydee Santamaria Art of Our America Collection has a visual heritage of more than 10,000 works, thanks to her constant interest in the plastic arts and donations from artists, collectors, and institutions.

Part of this collection is permanently exhibited in the main building of Casa de las Américas, besides the Haydee Santamaria and Mariano galleries. (Text and photo: Prensa Latina)
