Vice President says Uribe intends to threaten Venezuela's peace

Caracas, Jan 14. - Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said that the Uribe narco-paramilitarism intends to threaten the peace and tranquility of Venezuela, which is rejected by the Venezuelan people, it was revealed here today.

In a message released last night on her Telegram account, the vice president said that this current plunged our sister Colombia into unprecedented violence, disturbed the political system due to drug relations and now intends to threaten the peace and tranquility of the Bolivarian Republic.

Rodriguez said that the Venezuelan people spoke clearly and loudly in rejection of the attempts to violate our territorial sovereignty by former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe (2002-2010) and his local allies of extremist fascism led by a deranged and stateless puppet.

The sectoral vice president of Economy stressed that Venezuela, in national union, will never allow such criminals to appropriate the popular will or occupy political spaces that should be at the service of democracy, peace and development.

In the voice of Commander (Hugo) Chavez we respond to these criminals and cowardly vermin. Venezuela will continue in peace, she reaffirmed.

In recent days, several authorities raised their voices, together with the people, in rejection of the statements of the former ruler who, in a public act in Cúcuta last Friday, asked for an international intervention, preferably endorsed by the United Nations.

The objective, to dislodge the legitimate constitutional government of Nicolás Maduro, who was sworn in as President for a new six-year term on January 10.

In gratitude for the rejection of the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, to Uribe's threats, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, described the calls for military intervention as irresponsible, which threaten the life and peace of our people.

Also the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the closing of the International World Antifascist Festival, which was held in Caracas for three days, called Uribe a sad paramilitary character and drug trafficker, murderer, criminal and coward and called on him to come to the front of the troops, show his face and not send others.

The former Colombian president's comments were also joined on social network X by the fugitive from Venezuelan justice and resident abroad (Spain), Leopoldo López, who asked to seriously consider the proposal.

Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab yesterday issued a new arrest warrant and red alert to Interpol against fugitive from justice and opposition member Leopoldo López, for the crimes of instigating armed actions against the country, treason, conspiracy and association with organized crime.

Saab affirmed that the Prosecutor's Office will not allow military interventions by foreign officials or national actors, who intend to fill the country with blood. (Text and photo: PL)
