Havana, Jan. 25.- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel received Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, who is on a working visit to the Caribbean country.
During the meeting, the president extended a warm greeting to his counterpart Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and discussed the possibility of strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation projects.
"We were invited by Lula to an important Brazil-Caribbean Summit," Díaz-Canel announced on the social network X.
As part of his program, Vieira also held official conversations this Friday with the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez.
Cuba and Brazil maintain close bilateral ties, materialized in cooperation in areas such as agriculture and health.
The South American nation sent a shipment of humanitarian aid to the island last November to support people affected by hurricanes Rafael and Oscar that caused considerable damage in the provinces of Artemisa and Guantánamo.
The solidarity shipment consisted of 10 tons of dehydrated food that arrived by air and 30 water purification units. (Text and Photo: Cubasí)
