Beijing, Feb. 5. - China today expressed its opposition and rejection of the hostile policy of the United States against Cuba, which has been intensified in recent days with new measures by the U.S. administration.

To a question from Prensa Latina, the spokesperson's office emphasized that Washington "is going backwards historically, going deeper and deeper into the wrong path of sanctions and blockade."
It also added that the northern nation has openly placed itself against justice and equity, which is widely rejected by the international community.
Beijing reiterated the call to Washington to lift the total blockade against the island as soon as possible and remove Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
It also urged the US administration to do more to improve relations between Cuba and the United States, as well as to promote regional peace and stability.
