Moscow, June 14 – Iran will attack the military bases of any country that attempts to defend Israel, a senior Iranian official told CNN on Friday.
"Iran reserves the right, under international law, to respond firmly to this regime," he said. "Any country that tries to defend the regime against Iran’s operations will see its regional bases and positions become new targets," he added.
The network claims, quoting US and Israeli officials, that the United States was involved in intercepting the Iranian attacks on Tel Aviv. For their part, the Israeli media claim that THAAD anti-ballistic missile battery systems were used for this purpose.
For his part, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned Iran not to attack US facilities in the region. On Friday night, Iran launched a series of attacks against Israel, killing one woman and wounding 63 others, in addition to damaging Tel Aviv's infrastructure. (Text and photo: RT)
