Caracas, Feb 6. - The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) firmly rejected the interventionist and hate-filled statements of the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, it was revealed here today.
The Latin American and Caribbean integration bloc said in a statement last night that Rubio, in his eagerness to justify his interventionist policy, once again provocatively attacked Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, free and sovereign countries that have overcome decades of aggression.
It indicated that the US representative, behaving in a hostile manner against a free Latin America and the Caribbean, promotes anti-values ??based on the genocide of native peoples and the exploitation of migrants.
Today, it stressed, this agent intends to blame our countries for a migration crisis that his own government caused.
The Alliance denounced that the United States is the main responsible for forced migrations in Our America, with its economic wars, criminal blockades and policies of plunder.
It expressed that the “American dream” is a fable that instrumentalizes migrants and then deports them in inhumane conditions, as they have clearly demonstrated.
“Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua are not the problem; they are victims of an aggressive policy that cannot bear to see free people decide their own destiny," it said.
ALBA-TCP demanded the immediate cessation of aggressions against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and categorically rejected this new phase of extortion against all of Our America.
It reaffirmed that it will not give up or be intimidated by lies and manipulation, and supported the people and governments of these sister nations. (Text and photo: PL)
