Venezuela: Imperialism lost its mask

Caracas, Feb 18th. - The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, said that imperialism dropped its masks with the scandal that Usaid is experiencing today.

The masks fell off. Imperialism strips its interventions with political objectives in the world through resources from the United States Agency for International Development (Usaid), he wrote on his Telegram account.

The diplomat said that the Venezuelan case is pathetic, where non-governmental organizations - with respect to the Venezuelan government, but very governmental with respect to Washington, they put together a whole network to receive resources with political objectives.

This led to the unstabilization of the country's institutions, he said.

Arreaza denounced that under the umbrella of the supposed Humanitarian Aid Plan, they made disasters with funds from the same country that assaulted their own people with sanctions and denied them the right to prosper. "A shame," he said.

He stressed that those who did not pocket the resources, such as Juan Guaidó and company, used them in the country to finance projects with purely political objectives, to undermine the basis of the Bolivarian Revolution.

Last night in his night program Con Maduro, the Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, denounced the multimillion-dollar scam of the opposition leaders of the far right to the funds given by the Usaid.

Usaid officially said what we already knew, which he handed over to Guaidó; Leopoldo López, María Corina Machado, Julio Borges and Antonio Ledezma, $1,720 million dollars - for humanitarian aid," he said.

They stole full-handed, put Donald Trump's hand in his pocket, which was president of the United States at the time and deceived him vilely, he stressed.

The president stressed that they put their hand in his pocket to conspire and steal American taxpayers, but fortunately we knew how to resist, we defeated them and now we're going for them, he said.

"One day we're gonna put the hooks on Guaidó and all that gang of thieves and scammers," he said. (Text and Photo: PL)
