Leschenko also said that now the Ukrainian head of state is heading to London, where British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is meeting with the leaders of the European Union (EU) with the aim of holding a summit that will be dedicated to discussing the conflict in Ukraine, and Zelensky will also attend.
On Friday, February 28, Zelensky arrived at the White House to meet with Trump. After the talks, an agreement was to be signed on the exploitation of Ukrainian minerals.
Zelensky had an altercation with Trump and US Vice President James David Vance at a protocol session before the start of negotiations.
Subsequently, the Ukrainian president left the White House without commenting; no agreement was reached.
In turn, Trump said that Zelensky was not ready for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict and that he was disrespecting the United States. The US president also stressed that Zelensky could return when he was ready for peace.
“Zelensky should say: I want to make peace. He should not just stand there and say that Russian President Vladimir Putin is this, Putin is another, all those negative words. He should say: I want to make peace. I don't want any more wars,” the US president stressed. (Text and photo: PL)
