Moscow, Mar 6. - The US Department of Defense plans to introduce a military planning system based on artificial intelligence (AI). On Wednesday, a Pentagon unit signed a contract with the start-up Scale AI to implement this system in the decision-making process.
The company announced that the program, called Thunderforge, will integrate AI agents into military workflows to make the decision-making process faster for military leaders.
“Our AI solutions will transform the current military operational process and modernize American defense,” said Scale AI head Alexandr Wang.
The contract was granted by the Pentagon's Defense Innovation Unit, which aims to adopt commercial technology throughout the Army for the sake of national security and efficiency.
“Current military planning processes are based on decades-old technologies and methodologies, creating a fundamental mismatch between the speed of modern warfare and our ability to respond,” said Bryce Goodman, director of this program.
From the Pentagon they indicated that the system will be deployed, first, in the Indo-Pacific Command and the European Command to support planning, campaign development, resource allocation and evaluations. (Text and photo: Cubadebate with information from RT in Spanish)
