Camagüey, Mar 10th. - The Raw Materials Recovery Company (ERMP) of Camagüey strengthens its ties with mass organizations through the Reciclo Mi Barrio Community Project.
The activity aims to facilitate the collection and purchase of raw materials in the communities, promoting recycling and reduction of environmental pollution, in addition to preventing the inhabitants from assuming the cost of transport.
Omar Morales Oliva, provincial director of the company highlighted the positive results of this initiative, which actively involves the population and students from various educational institutions.
He added that in collaboration with the Government a program that is carried out weekly in different popular councils has been implemented. Thanks to the 13 recovery units that operate in each municipality, this action has been well received and aims to improve the collection system, thus exceeding the objectives established in the current calendar.
The recycling of raw materials is a fundamental pillar of the circular economy, a model that seeks to minimize waste and maximize the efficient use of resources. By adopting this practice, not only the environment is taken care of, but also a more resilient and responsible economy is promoted. (Text and photos: Zenia Donet García/Radio Cadena Agramonte)
