The soul that sustains and enriches us (+ Photos)

The family is recognized as the foundation of society and highlights the need for a balance between work and family, as well as equality in homes. This is why the International Day of Families is celebrated every May 15th to raise awareness about the fundamental role of families in the education of children from early childhood, and the lifelong learning opportunities available for children and young people.

In a world that is constantly changing, the family continues to be that refuge where we find love, protection and understanding, a sacred space that gives us security and peace in the midst of the storms of life. Within the family, each member is a fundamental pillar that sustains the home, forming a solid structure based on mutual support and trust.

Although the concept of family has transformed in recent decades, evolving in line with global trends and demographic changes, the United Nations considers the family to be the basic unit of society.

In this context, the International Day of Families gives us the opportunity to recognize, identify, and analyze social, economic, and demographic issues that affect their development and evolution.

To celebrate the date, activities such as workshops, conferences, radio and television programs, and others, are organized with the aim of promoting and fostering the maintenance and improvement of family unity.

Family ties are like invisible threads that unite us for life. Even though we may not be able to see them, their strength can carry us through difficult times, strengthening our character and spirit.

Family is the most precious treasure we can have in life, an intangible heritage enriched by affection, respect, and solidarity. (Text: Arleén Calvo Lacal and Maikel Torres La Rosa/Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photos: Taken from the Internet)
