Camagüey, May 31st. - The Paediatric Hospital Dr. Eduardo Agramonte Piña of Camagüey was filled with smiles and color with the celebration of International Children's Day, which is commemorated every June 1st.
Health workers along with other sectors came together to celebrate the date, bringing joy to hospitalized children and their families.
The day also served to promote World Anti-Smoking Day, with actions aimed at keeping the medical center smoke-free. Both ephemerals share the same purpose: to protect the health and well-being of future generations.
The show was in charge of the Guevara Duo of the Cuban Theatre of the Magic of Camagüey, which with more than three decades of trajectory delighted those present with his performance.
The clown Lechuga, the magician Yusel and the little dancer Analiet Guevara animated the day with music, participatory games motivating laughter and applause from the children.
For Analiet, sharing her dance and seeing happiness in infants is one of her greatest satisfactions. "Art is my dream, and being able to cheer others inspires me to continue," said the young artist.
Meanwhile, the little patients with their relatives enjoyed a moment of distraction and fun away for a while away from their health concerns.
With initiatives like this, the hospital not only reinforces its commitment to medical care, but also to the happiness and emotional development of those who are undoubtedly the hope of the world: children. (Text and photos: Zenia Donet García/ Radio Cadena Agramonte)
