Camagüey, Jun 2nd.- Although it was presumed that everything would be ready for the beginning of the final of the provincial baseball tournament, its start awaits the definition of the last passenger to the conclusive round of the contest.
The current champions guaranteed their participation to the decisive stage, after dividing in the double game before the hosts of Sierra de Cubitas, and so Camagüey achieves its third consecutive participation in the segment to determine the monarch.
In the first commitment, the Sierra de Cubitas team relied on a good job of veteran pitcher Rodolfo Sorís, and won 10-3, but in the closing match, Camgüey imposed 10-0, with very complete work from the young serpentine Raiders Rodriguez.
In Guáimaro, the hosts were not very warm with Florida, and equalled the subsix series to two wins per side, protected by their 2-0 and 6-4 wins. In that second balance, the batting of Damian Leyva, who fired a pair of quadrangulars, was decisive.
These selections will be seen again tomorrow Tuesday at Ignacio Agramonte Stadium in Florida in search of the remaining ticket.
Given the rivalry shown, it's very difficult to determine the favorite.
It was specified that in the defiances for the title, there will be no reinforcements. (Text and photo: Gilberto Rodríguez Rivero/Collaborator of Radio Cadena Agramonte)
