China, June 3rd. - Chinese tech giant Xiaomi unveiled its new Smart Tower Fan 2, a tower fan that, according to the company, can cool rooms in seconds and become an efficient and economical alternative to traditional air conditioners. Priced at €75, this device seeks to revolutionize the home air conditioning market.
The Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan 2 stands out for its compact, cylindrical structure, with a base the size of an A4 sheet of paper, making it ideal for small spaces. Its ABS housing is resistant to moisture and corrosion, and it features a sleep mode that automatically turns off the lights to avoid disturbing others at night.
Unlike conventional fans, this model uses a 10-stage continuous flow turbine with 350 blades that generate a variable natural breeze, mimicking the wind in environments like lakes, forests, and mountains. Xiaomi claims its technology enables a 150-degree surround airflow, capable of covering an entire room in seconds.
The device can be controlled via the Xiaomi Home app, which allows you to adjust 100 speed levels, program schedules, and customize the breeze type. Additionally, its DC inverter motor reduces energy consumption to just 1.5 W, which, according to the brand, is equivalent to 1 kWh for the entire summer.
Another advantage is its low noise level (28.7 dB in the quietest mode), ideal for undisturbed sleep. It also includes child protection, with 6.9 mm thick grilles to prevent accidents, and a safety lock.
Disassembly for cleaning is simple: the rear grille and blades can be removed in four steps for maintenance. Xiaomi continues to expand its catalog with innovative products, from televisions to smart home appliances.
With this launch, the company is betting on fast, eco-friendly, and affordable cooling, challenging traditional air conditioning systems. Will it succeed in changing household consumption habits? Summer will test its effectiveness. (Text and Photo: Cubadebate)
