International seminar on journalism- tourism begins in Cuba

Havana, June 16 – The 18th International Seminar on Journalism and Tourism begins today with a program focused on current travel trends and their global promotion.

This meeting is scheduled for 16-20 June, with the academic part in the halls of the International Journalism Institute José Martí, where talks related to current travel trends in Cuba and the world will be offered.

This event is sponsored by the Tourism Press Circle of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC, for its acronym in Spanish) and annually attracts tour operators and travel agents.

The opening is in charge of the Cuban deputy minister of tourism, Adalberto Venero, and during the first day there is a conference on Content Strategies, with a case study of the hotel Meliá Trinidad Peninsula, in charge of the social manager of that chain, Lysielle Mora.

This edition also focuses on topics related to nature, adventure, and rural travel.

The meeting, aimed at journalists, communicators, and other professionals, is an ideal space to once again analyze global trends in tourism and communication, focusing on topics of primary interest such as the rise of ecotourism and the impact of artificial intelligence. (Text and photo: PL)
