Arlen Lopez will fight on July 17 in Madrid

Havana, June 22, a billboard called for July 17 at the Teatro Las Vegas in Madrid, will host the next presentation of the Cuban pugil Arlen López, undefeated in four exits of this type.

The president of the Cuban Boxing Federation, Alberto Puig de la Barca, confirmed that the Guantanamo star will face 10 assaults on Mexican Paul Valenzuela in a fight of the semi-heavy division.

He is an opponent of more "road" in those circuits, to which he has dedicated the last 13 years with a balance of 28 triumphs (five of them by KO), 12 setbacks and a draw.

Arlen debuted as a professional in 2022, but is backing a solid Olympic crown-raised career in Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020, and bronze in Paris 2024, plus a world scepter in 2015.

His last commitment came on July 11, 2011 at the Hotel Meliá Internacional in Varadero, where he took over the Latin American continental strip of the World Boxing Association.

Then he beat Argentine Martín Ezequiel Bulacio 3-0 in 10 rounds in a fight that left him a hurter from which he already fully recovered after not intervening in the national tournament Playa Girón. (Text and photo: JIT)
