Israeli right-wing extremists block entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza

Gaza, Oct. 25th - Israeli right-wing extremists blocked the entry of trucks carrying humanitarian aid destined for the starving population of Gaza this Friday near the Kerem Shalom border crossing, where incidents occurred that resulted in at least two arrests, local media reported.

According to images disseminated on social networks and press reports, a group of activists, carrying Israeli flags, knelt backwards in front of the aid trucks while chanting "Am Yisrael Chai" ("The People of Israel Live"), in the presence of police officers.

Similar actions on other occasions

The legal aid organization Honenu, in charge of the defense of the detainees, stated on its X account that both were part of a demonstration convened at the crossing to the Strip and that they were arrested as "suspects of blocking the passage of trucks" of international aid to Gaza.

On previous occasions, Israeli extremists have carried out similar actions, alleging - without evidence - that the humanitarian aid sent to Gaza, where the UN has warned of a famine situation, ends up in the hands of Hamas.

However, this is the first time that the group has attempted to stop the shipment of aid after the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Islamist movement. (Text and Photo: Cubasí)
