San Salvador, 15th - Various Cuba solidarity groups in El Salvador expressed their unwavering support for the Cuban people and their resistance against the US blockade in 2025.
This spirit prevailed among attendees of the 2025 annual review of the solidarity movement with the island, held at the Cuban Embassy in El Salvador this weekend. Various groups of Salvadorans, who throughout the year did not cease in their actions of support for the island people, were represented.
For months, Salvadorans in solidarity stood shoulder to shoulder with the Cuban people in multiple tasks so that "Cuba remains standing and steadfast" in the face of US aggression, as demonstrated in a video compiling the many solidarity actions.
From celebrating the 172nd anniversary of José Martí's birth at the square housing his bust in the historic center, participating in the Marathon of Love for Cuba, to the 130th anniversary of the Apostle's fall in combat, Salvadorans were present with their support for the island.

A discussion by students from the University of El Salvador and representatives of solidarity movements praised and highlighted the historic legacy of José Martí.
During the review, activities commemorating the passage of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara through the Tazumal Ruins, near the border with Guatemala, were also highlighted. These included an event on June 8th, a heartfelt tribute on the 97th anniversary of his birth.
A special highlight in the review was the financial support and months-long effort by all expressions of solidarity and by doctors graduated from the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM, for its acronym in Spanish). This resulted in sending a container of medicines and medical supplies to Cuba.
The initiative, coordinated by the Cuba Chapter of the Schafik Hándal Studies Center, was destined for the Leopoldito Martínez General Hospital in Mayabeque province.
The tribute to the eternal legacy of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on the ninth anniversary of his passing, the remembrance of the anniversaries of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos M. de Céspedes barracks, Fidel's 99th birthday, among other activities, formed part of the solidarity support for Cuba.
Throughout the months, denunciations of the US blockade and Cuba's re-inclusion on the list of state sponsors of terrorism were not lacking.
