Summer and cinema in Cuba, one party and two reasons

Havana, August 20 - Film presentations in Cuba are an inseparable part of summer, and 2025 has brought a variety of offerings for this season, including those prepared today by the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry (Icaic), focusing on national cinema.

For this Tuesday, August 19, Icaic has selected two screening sessions (at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM local time) in several cinemas across the capital, allowing audiences to enjoy films from our cinematography.

The Yara, Charles Chaplin, Acapulco, and Multicine Infanta theaters will showcase films during the first session, while screenings at La Rampa and Riviera will begin an hour later.

Movies such as “Café amargo,” “Mata que Dios perdona,” “Lista de espera,” and “Patakín” will be shown in the Yara, Chaplin, Acapulco, and Multicine Infanta theaters, respectively.

As for the La Rampa and Riviera cinemas, they will feature the films “Amada” and “Más vampiros en La Habana,” in that order. (Text and Photo: Cubasí)
