With the Revolution and the participation of all we can move forward, affirms Esteban Lazo in Camagüey (+ Photos and Audio)

Camagüey, Jul 7.- Only with the Revolution and socialism will we be able to move forward, but with the effort and participation of all, stated in this territory the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the National Assembly of People's Power and from the Council of State, Esteban Lazo Hernández.

As part of the parliamentary visit on his third day, the leader appreciated the recovery work in Prolongación de Palma, an area severely affected after the rains and floods at the beginning of June, and exchanged with victims such as the teacher Idaysi Díaz Jerez, who, as the rest of his neighbors have already received resources and little by little her house is built.

Accompanied by the vice president of the legislative body, Ana María Mari Machado, Lazo Hernández explained that an effort has been made in the midst of many limitations, even with solutions still pending from previous hydrometeorological phenomena, but the Revolution will never leave anyone abandoned, she ratified.

However, arms cannot be crossed, she commented, everyone must contribute to the solution of the problems, and in this sense he highlighted the work of the small private company RELE, which builds a new home for a person in a situation of vulnerability, without any cost.

Rogelio López Estévez, sole partner of the Mipyme, expressed that this is a sign of the social responsibility, solidarity and commitment of the new economic actors to the Revolution, also visible in the repair of a room at the Eduardo Agramonte Piña Provincial Pediatric Hospital. without charging a penny, all thanks to the profits and without harming the wages of the workers, with whom the President of Parliament also spoke.

Lazo Hernández greeted the residents and with them gathered in the middle of the street, he recalled the need for meetings like this, even more so with so many deficiencies and limitations that demand to be explained and that the constant carelessness of the country's leadership be known so that, together, we can get ahead with the incessant search for alternatives.

Socialism does not exploit people, but it needs wealth to distribute it, and that only comes from work, an issue that requires a different look at agriculture, an essential resource to achieve development and that is not used, just as intelligence is not exploited and potential of the human force prepared by the Revolution, he reflected at another time.

For this reason, also accompanied by Federico Hernández Hernández, a member of the Central Committee of the Party and first secretary in the province, and by Governor Jorge Enrique Sutil Sarabia, he appreciated the intercropping of fruit trees and various crops, with good results, on the Villa Luisa farm, from the Renato Guitart Credit and Services Cooperative.

The good experience of Daniel Hernández González, his family and five other workers should be generalized in the 158 farms that cover 1,600 hectares in areas surrounding the City of the Earthenware Jars, for what this means to supply the city.

Such a strategy, designed by Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, must be materialized, just as it is achieved in the barely 12 hectares of Villa Luisa, where on a previous visit Lazo Hernández had left recommendations and today he appreciated more progress and commitments.

Why can some and others not? He asked. We lost the culture of producing, but here there is good use of the land. You have to visit the producers more, he said, see the issues of contracting and price agreement, that the furrow go directly to the population. That is the true implementation of the Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutrition Security Law, she confirmed.

And if we talk about the specific application of that Law, he recognized that the El Renacer farm, owned by the 26 de Julio Credit and Services Cooperative, is also a positive example, in which flour derived from cassava is obtained from an industrial process, an alternative that faces the country's financial difficulties and substitutes imports.

Its quality has been proven in confectionery and other lines, with acceptance by customers, for which reason the highest leader of the nation's legislative body advocated adding other territories to this initiative with the guidance of the people of Camagüey who thus demonstrate how much can be done achieve food sovereignty.

The producer Andrés Pérez Posada explained that the fundamental challenge is to have the raw material, that is, the aforementioned tuber; while Lazo Hernández was concerned about the conditions and salary of the workers and on such matters he spoke with one of them: Oniel Pérez Téllez.

Then, with the spontaneity, tenderness and intelligence that characterize infants, the deputy surrounded himself with girls and boys outside the Enrique Zaragozí Miranda elementary school and learned about their academic results in the school year that is ending, their incipient professional dreams for the future, and there were references to history, to Che and to Martí.

Since last Wednesday, the second parliamentary visit to the province has taken place in Camagüey, in which eight permanent work commissions of the legislature verify in nine municipalities the implementation of prioritized programs and policies, as this Friday was done by the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the National Assembly of People's Power and of the Council of State Esteban Lazo Hernández.
