Camagüey, 1 jul. - The Base Business Unit (UEB, for its acronym in Spanish) Territorial Division of Marketing of Fuels (Cupet) Camagüey develops until next 20 July a period of celebration for the Oil Worker’s Day, in which recognize the work of those, In the face of current difficulties, they maintain the provision of services and other key functions of the sector in the province.
Clarinbel Figueroa Lameda, institutional communicator for the Cupet Division in Camagüey, explained to the Cuban News Agency that the initiatives planned include morning meetings to welcome the start of this period, work changes at all bases and at the Central Office, with the goal of decorating the centers for the celebration, and an intergenerational meeting attended by outstanding young people, retirees from the division, and workers with 20, 30, and 40 years of experience.
Likewise, they plan to visit the Nursing Home adjacent to the Railway Terminal and the Oncology Room of the Eduardo Agramonte Piña Children's Hospital, institutions where they will hold exchanges and make donations.
Figueroa Lameda stated that they will hold a blood donation in honor of the period of celebration, dedicated to the men and women of the union and the National Rebellion Day, on July 26.
The central act of the entity in tribute to tankers will be next day 2 July in the UEB Territorial Division of Marketing of Fuels, in the Central Office, of this city, space in which they will honor workers with 20 and 25 years of experience in the sector, respectively.
During this meeting, among other moments, they will distinguish the most outstanding of the second quarter of the year from all the bases of the company in the Camagüey.
The Cupet Territorial Division in Camagüey also includes the Nuevitas Maritime Terminal Base, the Camagüey Depot, and the Liquefied Gas Depot Base, the latter two located in the provincial capital.
July 1st has been celebrated in Cuba as Oil Workers' Day since 2014.
