Camagüey, July 1 – Taxis Cuba will add 10 Fotón minibuses to the urban service in Camagüey. These vehicles are equipped with air conditioning and have a capacity of 14 passengers each.
The provincial transportation delegate, Miguel Arias Vásquez, explained that the minibuses will cover two main routes: one from the INRA to Rafelita, and another from the Ferro station to the Lenin neighborhood roundabout, with a price of 20 pesos per trip.
He also highlighted that the same number of minibuses will operate on each route, offering service from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with several trips depending on fuel availability.
These routes will operate from Monday to Sunday, exclusively for urban service. The stops will be free during the usual journey, provided that there are passengers requesting the service and space is available in the microbuses.
Currently, work is underway on the design of the stickers, the necessary documentation, and the requirements for the official start of service in the second half of July.
With an average of 3,000 passengers per day, the city of Camagüey is preparing for the incorporation of these 10 Fotón minibuses into the urban transportation system, thus improving mobility in the region. (Zenia Donet García/Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
