National Program for the Advancement of Women strengthened in Camagüey


Camagüey, Oct. 4.- The Municipal Commission of the Program for the Advancement of Women meets as a space for exchange for the different institutions and organizations that play a determining role in the implementation of the decree.

The debate had among its points the importance of knowing in depth all the sections of the program and the improvement of the professionals and specialists in charge of bringing issues related to gender and equity to the base level.

Another essential point for the operation of this commission is the link with the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, not only for improvement regarding these issues, but for the concrete results that the educational institution has, with the implementation of researches that support social development in the main municipality.

The lines of work of the city's Commission for the Advancement of Women also contemplate work with children, with older adults and the transformation work that is already being undertaken in various environments that present a less favorable situation.

Another topic discussed at the meeting and which is also part of the work that is projected in the municipality from the program, is raciality for which they have the support of the Aponte Chair of the Camagüey branch of the National Union of Writers and Artists. from Cuba.

The work session took place in the property occupied by the Nicolás Guillén Foundation, an organization that stands out as a space with a wide variety of cultural proposals and a very close link with the community.
