Camagüey, Nov 4.- Sugar Cane Day is celebrated today in Camagüey with a busy agenda organized by the provincial branch of the Association of Sugarcane Technicians of Cuba that includes exchanges on the results of work aimed at the recovery of plantations in different places in the geography of Camagüey.
The meeting will take place at the Cañera Cándido González Company, located in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Sur. During the visit, a tour of its facilities will be taken and the results of the extension of the sweet grass and the effects of the productive economic strategy will be presented in the plantation areas.
A conference related to the status of implementation of the 93 measures in Camagüey to strengthen the sector and the strategy for the next harvest is also planned.
In this context, the Association of Sugar Technicians of Camagüey will give recognition to the most comprehensive work extension workers, in addition, in coordination with the National Sugar Training Center, the three young people who, in the performance of their training and work, have accumulated the most comprehensive results in the province's sugarcane recovery
