Universities of Belarus and Camagüey sign new collaboration agreement (+ Photos)


Camagüey, Nov 21.- The University of Camagüey (UC) Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz and the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Belarus, strengthened ties of international collaboration, this Monday, with the signing of a new Framework Cooperation Agreement that will enhance the educational, scientific and cultural exchange between both institutions.

During the reading of the main clauses of the agreement, it was learned that it will also promote the use of advanced experience and the introduction of scientific advances in education, establishment of academic and cultural relations and the development of scientific potential and the guarantee of quality of vocational training.

The agreement will include actions such as the joint development and exchange of publications, the celebration of sporting and cultural events and scientific seminars, assistance and preparation of textbooks, exchange of undergraduate and graduate students and the design of educational programs with the participation from both parties, among others.

Regarding the expectations of this Agreement, Iryna Kiturka, rector of this foreign institution, stated in the online meeting that her University is very happy to establish these new working relationships that will contribute to the development of both centers and countries.

For his part, the Rector of the University of Camagüey, Dr.C. Santiago Lajes Choy expressed that he is sure that this cooperation will bring excellent results from the diversity of specific actions and areas of knowledge that they cover.

Yanka Kupala Grodno State University is an educational and development center of science and culture with more than 80 years of work and positive results. It currently has more than 10 thousand students and was the first to be awarded the National Government award in the field of quality.
