Havana, Nov 23.- The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, held a meeting today with the Italian businessman Ernesto Preatoni, who expressed his interest in the potential and attractions of the Caribbean country to invest in the tourism sector.
During the dialogue, Preatoni expressed his love for Cuba and declared that the blockade imposed by the United States cannot prevent the development of bilateral relations, the official account of the Cuban Government on the social network X disclosed.
"I love Cuba, I want to support its economic development, and I believe that there is a lot of investment potential in the tourism sector, especially as a cultural destination," the businessman stressed.
Cuba and Italy maintain close economic ties, reflected in the regular visits of Italian businessmen to the Antillean nation and in the celebration of agreements of common interest such as the Cuba-Italy Binational Committee.
The European nation is among Cuba's top 10 trading partners, while the largest of the Antilles is considered a priority country for Italian cooperation, especially in sectors of food security and the recovery of architectural heritage. (Text: PL) (Photo: @MMarreroCruz)
