Camagüey works for excellence in telecommunications services

Camagüey, February 21.- The fulfillment of the objectives, economic and quality indicators, as well as the development goals planned for 2024, become essential objectives of the Territorial Division of the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) in Camagüey.

Luel García Lorenzo, director of the entity, explained that several strategies are being executed for digital transformation and technological infrastructure.

He added that a growth of more than ten thousand mobile lines is expected, work is underway on the assembly of new radio bases with around 13 ready to work and the gradual process of banking is being deployed, especially in areas that do not have the QR code.

He pointed out that 83 percent of the popular councils have access to the internet in some way and actions are implemented to address one of the main concerns of the population: concerns related to traffic on the lines, especially in the cities of Camagüey, Florida, Nuevitas and Vertientes.

Special projects also stand out, with emphasis on the North Keys, as well as the prioritized sectors of Health and Education.

The optimization of resources, growth in the legal sector with 70 new connectivities, and the delivery of the Nauta Hogar service based on the existing availability in the territory are part of the projections for ETECSA in the current calendar.
