Venezuela, National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, solidarity

Venezuela for narrowing the bridges, town by town

Aragua, Venezuela, March 3.- It is not a secret to the world that the largest of the Antilles appears, unfairly, on a list of countries that sponsor terrorism. Even so, besieged, she maintains its irrefutable commitment to helping humanity, and she has sister nations that accompany her in her anti-imperialist struggle.

Since the historic embrace between Fidel and Chávez in 1994, the Island and Venezuela have forged a friendship that transcends to this day. There were then ample reasons to hold, in the Venezuelan state of Aragua, the XIII National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, in which delegations from nine countries participated, as well as representatives of the Solidarity and Mutual Aid Movement in this nation.

After debate sessions in commissions and conferences about history, communication and youth, the delegates made a final declaration in which they agreed to "immediately demand the exclusion of Cuba from the illegitimate list of States sponsoring terrorism."

Likewise, they spoke out in favor of carrying out actions on the five continents so that the US Government ends the blockade “that damages the development and well-being” of our country.

It was proposed to install the Revolution chair in three times, in all Venezuelan academic institutions, in which The Golden Age will also be studied and the creation, in the city of Maracay, of a park named after that literary work will be promoted.

Among other actions, it was proposed to organize and promote the third Bolívar-Martí solidarity flight, “in order to continue strengthening bridges from town to town,” in addition to contributing to the dissemination of the 8th. International Peace Seminar, and advocate for the abolition of foreign military bases. (Granma) (Photo: Radio Rebelde)
