Camagüey, March 8.- For the first time, the EXPOCAM Fair, whose twenty-fourth edition will take place in Camagüey from March 12 to 15, will have the participation of foreign entities, with companies from the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, both of which are dedicated to food marketing.
Tania Rodríguez Mexidor, director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba in the Camagüey-Ciego Delegation of Ávila, reported at a press conference that around 80 representatives will also participate, both from the host province and from Guantánamo, Havana and Ciego. from Avila.
The event will allow state companies, non-state forms of management and local development projects to show their potential in products and services, and promote exportable funds or those that are being promoted.
The business meeting aims to stimulate business exchange and promote the best economic and commercial practices; as well as encourage productive chains and socialize foreign investment projects for the knowledge of possible interested parties.
As part of EXPOCAM, three conferences related to foreign investment, exports and the digital market will be given, by specialists from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and its Improvement Center.
Likewise, two business rounds will take place in the agri-food and construction sectors to show the projects that each one has and look for ways to develop these activities, taking into account three basic pillars for the country's economic advancement: exports, import substitution and foreign investment.
For his part, Juan Ricardo Poll Gean, head of the Directorate of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and International Economic Cooperation in Camagüey, ratified the importance of the aforementioned event in the current circumstances, as an opportunity for the business community in the desire to achieve the necessary takeoff of the economy.
The twenty-fourth edition of the EXPOCAM Fair, from March 12 to 15, is in line with the nation's priorities and will promote the launch of products, the signing of contracts, letters of intent and cooperation; and will take place at the Ciudad de los Tinajones Fairgrounds, with the possibility of public access during the final day.
