Camagüey, April 10.- The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, Esteban Lazo Hernández, called for the so-called green belt of the city of Camagüey to increase its results , for what this means in feeding the people; while he recognized a productive recovery, but one that must continue.

Likewise, he considered the progress that is being experienced in terms of incorporating new farms and people into these tasks, and urged those who are disconnected from work, especially young people, to join in this task, since that contribution would be decisive in the effort. to increase offers and thus contribute to reducing prices.

Founders of the suburban agriculture program – which celebrated its 15th anniversary on April 8 – are the Villa Luisa and Los Viera farms, both of the Renato Guitart Credit and Services Cooperative and the producers David Hernández González and Jorge Viera Manso, respectively.

In the first of these sites, Lazo Hernández appreciated the creation of a mini-industry based on recommendations from his previous visits, with assortments that are destined for social consumption, marketing with the tourism sector and the Frutas Selectas entity; while the almost 13 hectares of land that Hernández González owns do not stop having crops.

The secret to achieving this is to work, he told the President of Parliament, who stated that experiences like these show that more can be done in terms of food production in the country, and assured that this is how we face the blockade and the economic war that it imposes. the United States government.

Viera Manso alluded to a similar formula, commenting to Lazo Hernández that agriculture requires a lot of sacrifice, and the leader advocated that other places show indicators like those appreciated there; In addition, he praised the social contribution of both producers who support food in schools, day care centers, homes for the elderly and children without filial protection, hospitals and other institutions.

Previously, the highest representative of the Cuban legislature confirmed the will, sacrifice and desire of Nivaldo Navarro, who banished the marabou from his Los Coquitos farm, of the Roberto Rodríguez Agricultural Production Cooperative, and is advancing in the recovery of the 67 hectares that it has.

At the Tínima organic urban planter facility – headquarters of the national event for the 15th anniversary of the Subruban Agriculture program, created by Raúl Castro – Esteban Lazo reflected on the need for more food offers for the population, and took the opportunity to recognize the results that there are obtained, but faced with that imperative, he invited them to be better.

At the end of the tour, in which the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, Esteban Lazo Hernández, was accompanied by the highest authorities of the province, he reflected on the to the importance of work and production as one of the pillars to, with unity of thought and action, save socialist construction.
