Camagüey exchanges about good practices in the food industry (+ Photos)


Camagüey, April 12.- With the aim of sharing experiences in the food industry and implementing immediate actions in the current economic context, representatives of the sector in Las Tunas and Camagüey participated this Friday in the Workshop on best management practices in the business system of that sector.

Among the main topics, productive chains, online sales, internal income sources, payment systems and the restructuring of entities that merit it and promote the national economy stood out, as shown by the Pinar del Río Dairy Products Company and Granma meat.

The exchange, chaired by the Minister of the Food Industry, Alberto López Díaz, and the Vice Ministers Orlando Borrero Elías and Midalys Naranjo Blanco, advocated materializing the proposals of the country's research centers with good experiences in the Camagüey territory together with the University of Camagüey, as well as the work of technologists, quality teams and workers focused on increasing offers to the population with endogenous resources.

It is important to look for all options, especially in the province hosting the meeting, with real potential, even in the midst of financial tensions, emphasized the vice-president Naranjo Blanco, who alluded to the need to reverse the negative indicators and turn exceptions into rules.

The workshop, which took place at the Cándido González Provincial School of the Communist Party of Cuba, included conferences and debates on the management models of companies in the current scenario and the purposes of the organization within the Law of Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security that Cuba implements, and made it clear that it will only be possible to reduce the current inflation if the demand of the people is satisfied and value is generated for all social groups.

It is about, said Vice Minister Borrero Elías, “about diversifying productions and identifying relevant results in some of the companies that mark a path in which it is possible to achieve the proposed plans and make the replenishment of raw materials, technologies and spare parts sustainable.”

The regional best practices workshops began in the province of Matanzas and promote learning and the search for solutions in the Higher Business Management Organizations of Fisheries, Agri-Food and Food, said Minister López Díaz.

The owner insisted on the integrative nature of these meetings that aim to provide feedback from the best experiences and provide tools to all entities to diversify productions and guarantee food to the people, with emphasis on the regulated family basket and social programs.
