Available major admitances at Camagüey

Havana, April 25.- A total of 104,456 available majors for the three types of courses (daytime, meeting and distance learning) will be offered to applicants who wish to enter the country's universities.

This was reported by René Sánchez Díaz, director of Entry and Job Placement of the Ministry of Higher Education, in a press conference, in which he recalled that the dates of the exams in the ordinary call are May 7, 10 and 14, for the subjects of Mathematics, Spanish and History, respectively.

He explained that a second call is maintained for those students who cannot appear for the ordinary one, due to very justified cases, which must be previously analyzed by the Admission commissions.

Sánchez Díaz stated that the application of entrance exams for the day course in the subjects of Mathematics, Spanish and Cuban History are an instrument to order the granting of majors and training programs for higher technicians, so it will not be mandatory to pass with a minimum of 60 points to obtain a place.

A first awarding will be made for approved applicants with a minimum of 60 points in the exams of all entry routes; the second for those who failed; the third for Pre-University students who decided not to take the tests in the year of their graduation, and a fourth assignment for applicants who graduated from technical and professional education (middle technicians), from the Obrero Campesina Faculty, from Pre-University courses. above, and others considered by the Provincial Income Commission.
