Israel will not achieve its goals, says Deputy Chief of Hezbollah

Beirut, 8 oct.- Israel will not achieve its goals and we will defeat it, stated today the deputy head of the Resistance of Lebanon (Hezbollah), Naim Qassem.

In a televised speech marking the first anniversary of the opening of the southern front in support of Gaza, the deputy secretary general reaffirmed the strict organization of command, control, and direction according to the established rules in the Resistance, as we have overcome the painful blows suffered.

According to the leader, Hezbollah is working with full readiness and regularity, following the assassination by Israel of senior commanders of the Lebanese political and military movement, including its leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Qassem indicated that the election of the Secretary General will be completed according to organizational mechanisms, and we will announce it in due time.

Regarding the prolongation of the Israeli aggression, the deputy chief added that if the enemy continues its war, the field will decide the outcome, and we are the owners of the battlefield that we will never beg for a solution.

According to the authority, this war is the war of the first to give up, and we do not give up, we will follow, we will sacrifice ourselves and we will advance.

Amid diplomatic contacts to stop the hostility, Qassem stressed that Hezbollah and the Amal movement are united in good and bad times.

We have full confidence in the leadership of Nabih Berri (leader of the Amal movement and president of the Parliament) and we support the political efforts, whose main title is the cessation of aggression.

For the deputy secretary general, before the ceasefire, any other discussion has no place for the Resistance.

The attacks on the southern suburb of Beirut, the south, the Bekaa and Mount Lebanon are very painful, but it is the enemy’s weapon to massacre civilians while he believes he will win, Qassem added.

Qassem assured that the only solution for us is resistance, firmness and our people uniting around us, and this is the option for victory.

According to what he expressed, the land confrontation in the south began, and the zionists were amazed at how their army could not advance.

The meters that the enemy can win are worth nothing and we want to face him, either at the front or beyond, he stressed.
