Cuban National Cybersecurity Day


Havana, Nov. 20 - The III National Cybersecurity Day will begin today throughout the country in order to raise the perception of risks in legal persons in relation to the good management of technologies and digital platforms in general.

Technological fairs, skills competitions and meetings to promote the proper management of content, the creation of passwords in electronic spaces and the generation of credentials for bank cards will enliven the working days.

Cecilia Valdés Milián, director of Institutional Communication at the Ministry of Communications, recently told the Cuban News Agency that the event aims to raise awareness among the population to prevent them from being victims or committing any crime in the cyber area because of ignorance.

She stressed that entities such as the Young Computer and Electronic Club, the Union of Informatics, the Telecommunications Company of Cuba, Segurmatic and the Institute of Information and Social Communication will be directly linked to the meetings.

The 3rd National Cybersecurity Day will run until the 30th of this month and will serve to socialize the results, experiences and good practices of the largest of the Antilles in this field. (Text and photo: ACN)
