Havana, July 18.- The People's Power Government of the province of Camagüey will report today at the Fifth Session of the highest state body in its X Legislature, motivating that territory to advance in the many tasks required by current circumstances.
A report obtained by the Cuban News Agency indicates that the province of Camagüey worked during the first half of the year on implementing and monitoring the Government Program to correct distortions and revive the economy, as well as on improving the work of the People's Power bodies.
Regarding social policies, transportation, public health, education, and other areas, the people of Camagüey will present their experiences to Parliament, in an exercise to be held at the next session in the province of Ciego de Ávila.
This Friday, parliamentarians will be responsible for approving the draft Law of the Cuban Sports System and the General Regime of Contraventions and Administrative Sanctions.
The Fifth Session of the National Assembly of People's Power has been in session since last Wednesday, during which they announced the pension increase, the program for the recovery of the National Electric System, and the compliance and impact of the government’s program to correct distortions and revive the economy.
