Havana, Nov 21.- Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, celebrated World Children's Day.
According to the president in X, on the date he will exchange with a representation of Cuban infants and adolescents.
Today I will receive very important people at the Palace of the Revolution for all of us who work here: children, children of a generation who live, create and face challenges and is scarce with the courage of their parents, the President said.
Through the same social network, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its commitment to comprehensive development and recognized the work of all those who work every day for a better future for children.
On World Children's Day, Cuba celebrates achievements in the areas of rights and well-being for children, the Foreign Ministry added.
The date marks the anniversaries of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989).
This Convention establishes a number of rights for children, including those relating to life, health and education, the right to play, family life, protection from violence and discrimination, and to have their views heard. (Text and Photo: Cubadebate)
