Havana, Nov 30.- The Cuban Football Association (AFC in Spanish) signed a cooperation agreement with the Mexican Football Federation (FMC in Spanish) for the development of that discipline.
The understanding became official this Thursday and was finalized after conversations held between the directors of both institutions during the Concacaf under-20 tournament, held in León, in Aztec territory, where the Cuban team qualified for the Fifa World Cup. in the category that will be held in Chile next year.
The memorandum of understanding includes improvement in vital fields of the discipline and is part of the strategy deployed for the improvement of football on the Island.
One of the branches that will benefit from the agreement will be that of scouting, in that sense technology will be exchanged to improve the work with the different Cuban teams, according to what the president of the AFC, Oliet Rodríguez, informed JIT.
The contribution to the arbitration sector was also known, within which work with video arbitration will be promoted, a novel aspect in the national context.
In addition, referees and advisors will be improved, who will have the possibility of working in the different leagues in Mexico, which will favor their professional growth.
Likewise, both federations will work together in the area of ??sports marketing, which will benefit the visibility and sustainability of the sport.
This will also help create a culture in line with the current demands of sport at an international level.
In addition to the president of the AFC, analyst Erik Campos and the entity's head of rules and arbitration, María Zaes, participated in the signing of the agreement.
With issues like this, continuity is given to the agenda of the governing body of football in the Greater Antilles, which seeks to develop in all possible aspects, and which a few months ago signed an important council with the Italian federation regarding overcoming the technical forces.
