Camagüey, Dec. 20 - Little Isabela shares a message of love and affection for Melba and Danner, her first grade teachers at the Conrado Benítez semi-boarding school in the city of Camagüey, who daily devote themselves to the human profession of teaching.
In them, experience and youth merge as a perfect combination that converges in a classroom of 35 students where pupils learn to write, read and calculate, together with good manners, habits and values.
They are united by their love for children, their vocation for the profession, their preparation at the Nicolás Guillén Batista Teacher Training School, although in very distant years, and their will to lead the path of the little ones in a world of numbers and letters.
With a degree in primary education, Danner Rodríguez Silveira, at just 26 years old, has already been teaching for seven years, an experience that he enjoys and always chose as his first option, one of the reasons why his students place their trust in him.
He is always seen close to Melba Batista Porrón, his friend and teacher, who delegates to him some lessons as part of the preparation and training in a very demanding, but at the same time very beautiful and exciting teaching.
Melba, at sixty years old, assures her reincorporation at the doors of retirement, and says it convinced of her love for the profession with a special attachment to the subject of Spanish Language and the magic of being part of the first letters and words written by her pupils.
She confesses that the almost four decades dedicated to education, 15 of them at Conrado Benítez, treasure a lot of history when you add the history of each of the students and colleagues with whom she has shared, a luck, she claims, of being witnesses and a fundamental entity in the life of so many professionals.
“I have always attended first cycle from first to fourth grade, and I prefer to work with young students because I like to receive them from a very young age and see them grow.”
“Danner and I have been working for many years, he is young and has a lot of interest and I sense that he enjoys working with me and that is why he has earned my recognition and the trust to delegate some subjects to him.”
Proud of the responsibility of training the pioneers, she says that with her years of dedication she has earned the respect and affection of parents and students with multiple recognitions, another of the certainties of this educator to whom teaching did not come by chance.
This is also perceived in the freshness of someone who works for love, and teacher Danner confesses with simplicity that he enjoys and is excited with his little ones, although this profession is still a very committed job and with constant challenges.
Because of the dedication, demand and love with which they address the children in the classroom every day, children like Isabela say they love them very much, a simple phrase full of innocence and sincerity on behalf of all the students who learn their first letters from the hand of Melba and Danner, that perfect combination of experience and youth.
