Venezuela congratulates Cuba on the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution

Caracas, Jan. 1.- The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela today congratulated what it called the heroic people of Cuba on the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called this process “a beacon of dignity, resistance and social justice that continues to guide the peoples of the world in their struggle for emancipation.”

The note recalled with admiration “that glorious January 1, 1959, when a group of brave men, led by Commander Fidel Castro Ruz and Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, together with figures such as Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos, marked the beginning of a historic project that opened the doors to a future of sovereignty and self-determination for the Homeland of (José) Martí.”

It stressed that in this year 2025, characterized by geopolitical complexities and the resurgence of hegemonic currents that seek to subdue sovereign nations, "the Cuban Revolution stands as a strong moral and ethical guide."

Reminding us, it stated, that only through courage, unity and solidarity can we face the challenges that threaten justice and global peace.

Cuba, with its resistance to the aggressions of imperialism and its inhuman economic blockade, is an indelible example of revolutionary firmness, it stressed.

The Bolivarian Government reaffirmed the “unwavering loyalty of Venezuela towards its brother people, with the commitment to strengthen our unity in the construction of a multipolar world, where the principles of dignity and solidarity prevail over the petty interests of those who try to impose their will.”

It said that Commanders Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) showed us the way to consolidate the Great Homeland that Simon Bolivar and Jose Marti dreamed of: a united, free and sovereign Latin America and the Caribbean.

“That ideal lives today in every joint action between Cuba and Venezuela, united by history and hope in a shared future,” it said.

The statement ended by cheering the 66th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the dignified resistance of the Cuban people. “Until victory always!” (Text Photo: PL)
