China, Jan 8. - A Chinese online platform has organized around 30 food delivery routes using drones in the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province, south of China, which has already resulted in more than 300,000 orders processed. The service is available in office buildings, residential neighborhoods, tourist routes and educational institutions.

At the Annual Central Economic Work Conference, China expressed its intention to take measures to promote scientific and technological innovation that will contribute to the creation of a modern industrial system. This is reported by CGTN, a partner of the BRICS TV network.

The low-end sector of the economy, which includes traditional aviation and drone-enabled services, is emerging as an important component of the country's new manufacturing capacity. This year, it was noted for the first time in a government jobs report.

According to the report, prepared by a research institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the value of the sector reached 505.95 billion yuan (about 70.92 billion dollars) in 2023 and is expected to exceed one trillion yuan (136 billion dollars) by 2026.
