Caracas, Jan 12.- The vice chancellor for Latin America of Venezuela, Rander Peña, held a working meeting here with the head of the Department of International Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba, Emilio Lozada.
At the meeting, both officials reviewed the regional situation and agreed on “joint actions to confront the scourge that attacks humanity and denies life: fascism and similar expressions,” the Bolivarian vice foreign minister reported on his Telegram account.
“Our people and revolutions will be victorious. A hug to the Cuban people!” expressed Peña.
This meeting was held in the context of the World Festival of the Antifascist International that met in Caracas and was attended by more than two thousand delegates from more than a hundred countries from all continents, who also came to accompany the inauguration of President Nicolás Maduro.
During a working meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum that met yesterday in this capital, Lozada highlighted the importance of the unity of all left-wing progressive forces in the defense of the Bolivarian Revolution.
In this sense, the Cuban political leader called to not allow the right to “beat us through divisions” and called to be more united every day as a legacy of unity from Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez.”
He recalled the historical leader of the island's Revolution when he said, in reference to Cuban collaborators, that for Venezuela "we will have to give everything."
Today more than ever that phrase has enormous validity because for the Bolivarian Republic "we will have to continue giving everything and fighting until the end," he ratified.
The party leader stated that it is necessary to defend the Bolivarian Revolution from all attempts from the North, from the United States, from the oligarchic and fascist right.
He stressed that it is the duty of the parties of the Sao Paulo Forum to give everything for the homeland of (Simón) Bolívar, (Hugo) Chávez and Nicolás Maduro, and called to go forward and continue defending Venezuela.
When quoting the Cuban National Hero, he recalled that he said "whoever stands up today for Cuba stands up for all time" and paraphrased that "whoever stands up today for Venezuela, for the Bolivarian Revolution stands up for all time." (Text and Photo: PL)
