Nuevitas, Camagüey, Feb 5th. - Ferro Cemento 289, from this coastal municipality, was the most prominent crew of the companies Industrial Fishing Enterprise of Santa Cruz del Sur (EPISUR) and the Nuevitas Industrial Branch, during 2024.
In the period under review, it exceeded 93 tones, for a compliance rate of 114 per cent, which represented 34 per cent of total catches of seafood on this bank.
"They faced the same obstacles but thought and acted in different ways, and were placed at the forefront of the extractive activity," reports a post by EPISUR on the social network Facebook about the recognition in the Annual Balance Sheet and the Assembly of Representatives.
The production chain with state enterprises and units of the Revolutionary Armed Forces was the determining factor in accomplishing this feat.
From the July 1st. the local authority materialized the change which enabled it to gain autonomy in order to take the main decisions from the bottom up.
