Camagüey 13th. - More than 15 thousand hectares of rice, of which five thousand 404,5 in the cold campaign and 10,459 in the spring campaign, plans to sow this year the Granos Ruta Invasora Agroindustrial Company, located in the municipality of Vertientes.
Michel Ballate Camejo, director of the said entity, said that in 2024 more than 32,000 tons of this cereal were achieved, a result that distinguished the work of this collective at the country level.
In addition to advancing in this main line, in which alliances with new forms of non-State management are consolidated, this company is committed to diversification and develops livestock, the production of fry for aquaculture, fruit and vegetable preserves, the processing of meat products and, in particular, the various crops, with the planting last year of more than three thousand hectares and the harvest of six thousand tons, she said.
Towards the community, she said, she also runs her work Route Invasive, with the provision of the transport service from Vertientes to the city of Camaguey, as well as the production of about 800 complete meals a day, at 60 pesos, for the care of vulnerable people in 13 centers of gravity.
For his part, said Pablo Oriol Ramírez Agramonte, director of the Plant of Benefit of Vegetable Coal, belonging to the Granos Ruta Invasora Agroindustrial Company that this enclave has capacity to process 60 tons per day, although currently there is only one line installed that allows its operation at 50 percent.
Coming from the countryside, he remarked, comes coal, which is cleaned and classified for export, with the aim of capturing foreign exchange that favor the acquisition of inputs to boost the development of rice production in the province.
