Camagüey, Mar 6th. - Scientific research is crucial to improve the quality of medical services, so the scientific day of ophthalmology develops, with the aim of promoting the research work of specialists and residents in the province.
In this XXV edition, studies were presented that respond to healthcare work, of great importance for the development of ophthalmology in Camagüey, topics that constitute projects for later doctoral theses, explains Dr. Arlettys Ríos Díaz, head of the Ophthalmology Service assigned to the Manuel Ascunce Domenech University Hospital.
"Our main commitment is to provide excellence attention despite all material difficulties, we have the challenge of developing more research that allows us to improve all ophthalmological pathologies," says Ríos.
The young people also linked to the day, assistant students of several years of the race, who will be the relay of the most experienced, exchanged knowledge with other related specialties such as maximum facial, natural and traditional medicine surgery, and imagineology.
The meeting led by Dr. Aymed Rodríguez Pargas, president of this chapter, and executives of the Hospital Center, shows the degree of preparation and evolution of Cuban doctors in pursuit of better care work.

Finlay ophthalmological center is recognized by the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neovascular glaucoma, the development of cataract surgery and cornea transplant by refractive surgery with an exciter laser.
