F-47: Trump unveils new sixth-generation fighter jet

Moscow, March 22nd. - US President Donald Trump, along with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, announced the creation of a sophisticated fighter jet on Friday. According to the president, the new fighter will be a sixth-generation fighter and will be called the F-47, which is a nice number, he said.

The contract for the fighter's development was awarded to Boeing. "It's something no one has ever seen before in terms of all the attributes of a fighter jet. There's never been anything even close [in terms of] speed and maneuverability," Trump noted.

At the same time, Trump revealed that an experimental version of the F-47 fighter-bomber has been secretly tested for nearly five years. The fighter will be equipped with advanced technology to make it virtually undetectable and will reach unprecedented speeds. "The F-47 will be the most advanced, most capable, and most lethal aircraft ever built," he promised.

Trump also revealed that the planes will be ready in the coming years, as many of the necessary parts have been manufactured. For his part, the Pentagon chief asserted that the construction of the new F-47s will be carried out under the Next Generation Air Dominance program. It should be noted that Trump declined to mention the aircraft's value. The fighter is believed to be vital in deterring the Chinese military in the coming decades. (Text and photo: RT)
